42. In threes

Micah 6: 8 popped up on the app I have been using for listening to a daily verse, instantly grabbed my attention, and then reminded me about something I had read a while back on rhetorical devices (found after furious googling).

Truth or underlying faith aside, I suppose there is a reason statements of faith like the Nicene Creed, the Five Points (of Calvinism) and their likes have endured: they fuse rhetorical flourishes and rhythm to create memorable pieces of text which anchor their various faith traditions.
