I must have listened to this more than twenty times today on repeat, no thanks for all the feels it brought me. I remain amazed by how a song, or a scent even, can trigger a long lost memory. Of course what we remember is a remix of what happened, and how we choose to remember it.
As for the song itself – youthful loving sentiment aside – the vocal range is one of the things that grabs me most about the song. Both Jordin and Chris showcase theirs, particularly as the song crescendos to an end.
Whatever really happened, thanks E. That summer of loving (and ultimately losing) was fantastic..
