I had a snippet of this song in the back of my mind, the “I got the gold motorcycle” part of the bridge being all my mind could grasp. Neither Spotify nor Gemini could help: the song it would appear is not on Spotify, whilst Gemini assumed I wanted it to generate a song for me. The less said about the enshitification of search and the need to own music not stream the better.
In the end DuckDuckGo came to the rescue, aided by my best guess of the date the song was released. I was off by a few years!
All is well that ends well I suppose. I found the song and had several listens as it transported me to the early 2,000’s and the pre-prodigal days!
